A Note about Evaluations…
The Waterford Soccer Club will hold evaluations for fall soccer the first full week in June from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m at Spera Field. June 4th and 5th is for girls, and June 6th and 7th is for boys; Friday June 8th is set aside as a makeup in case of cancellation due to weather. Micros and U8s do not attend evaluations, but players registering for U10 through U14 may want to attend one of the scheduled evaluation days so that coaches can determine their general skill level; this aids in determining how many teams are to be created as RecPlus (B) or Classic (A). Evaluations are helpful for players moving up (particularly from U8 to U10), new players in town, and returning RecPlus players interested in moving up to Classic. Players who played Classic soccer last fall don’t need to attend evaluations. Players should ask their coach if they should come to evaluations. Note that every registered child, regardless of skill level, is guaranteed a spot on a team.
